Northmark is a timber framing contractor and construction partner based in Crace, Canberra. We work across residential, commercial and renovation projects throughout Canberra and the surrounding region, providing the structural timber framing and supporting construction services that builders, developers and homeowners rely on to keep a project moving.
WHAT WE DO
Our core capability is structural timber framing wall framing, floor framing and roof truss installation, delivered to Australian Standard across residential and commercial projects. Alongside this, we provide the supporting services that round out a build: cladding installation, eaves and timber fascia replacement, and door installation.
We also work extensively on renovations and extensions, where new framing needs to integrate carefully with an existing structure. This is a different kind of framing work to a new build on a clear site, and it’s a capability we’ve built specifically because so much of Canberra’s construction activity involves extending or updating existing homes.

Our Approach
Timber framing is the structural stage that everything else in a build depends on, and we treat it accordingly. Our approach is built around a few consistent principles: working from documented plans, following Australian Standard requirements for timber framing, flagging issues early rather than letting them surface later in a project, and keeping builders and homeowners informed as work progresses.
We bring this same approach to every project type we work on: new residential builds, larger commercial developments, and the more variable, on-site problem-solving that renovation and extension work often requires. Consistency in how we approach structural framing is part of what makes us a reliable contractor to bring onto a project.
